Marvelous Mardi Gras Parade Float Ideas
Posted by paradefloats on January 24, 2011
Liven up your Mardi Gras parade with a fabulous float reflecting the excitement and energy of the big party in The Big Easy – the city of New Orleans! Mardi Gras (which means “Fat Tuesday” in French) falls on Tuesday, March 8, 2011. Now’s the perfect time for you to start building your Mardi Gras float for your upcoming game, parade, homecoming dance, prom or other Mardi Gras-themed event. Let the rich, gorgeous colors of purple, green and gold (representing justice, faith, and power) dress up your special float.
Decorate your float trailer with Mardi Gras floral sheeting in purple and green metallic. Use gold metallic festooning along the edges for a striking contrast. Along the bottom of all sides of your float trailer, use parade float vinyl or metallic fringe. This covers the wheels of your trailer to create the appearance that your float is really “floating.”
If you’ll be driving your car or truck in the parade, order the Mardi Gras Parade Kit containing metallic fringes and twists to adorn your vehicle for the big night. Make this “Fat Tuesday” one to remember!
