Love Your Valentine’s Parade Float

Posted by paradefloats on February 10, 2011

Everyone is going to love your Valentine’s parade float! Make your float fun and romantic using fantastic Valentine’s Day decorations.

Cover the floor of your parade float with white floral sheeting. Floral sheeting rolls are 3 feet wide and sold by the yard. Next, around the edge of the trailer, tack up red & white floral sheeting. To finish off the bottom, add a little flair with red metallic fringe . The metallic sheeting is cut into narrow strips and secured to a white strip. The metallic fringe is 14 inches tall by 10 feet long.

Create levels of love! Start with a whimsical sweetheart arch. The sweetheart arch is 10 feet high by 5 feet wide, and can be personalized with a special message. EZ tabs allow for easy arch assembly. Then in front of the sweetheart arch, place the irresistibly cute, kissing Valentine’s Day child and adult silhouettes. Next to the arch, create a heart-felt, romantic scene with heart’s magic standees. These standees come in three different sizes including: one 13″ high by 13″ wide, one 20″ high by 18″ wide, and one 26″ high by 24″ wide.
At the other end of the float, build a triangle of columns with two follow your heart pedestals in the background, and one love column in the forefront. The follow your heart pedestals are 6′ high by 2′ 2″ wide freestanding cardboard columns and they are covered with shiny hearts. The love column spells out the word love with the letters built on top of each other, creating a vertical column. This 3-D love column stands 7 ½’ tall and 14″ wide. Finish off your Valentine’s parade float with romantic silk rose petal decorations scattered all across the floor of the float.
