Flower Festival Floats
Posted by paradefloats on March 1, 2011
Spring is in the air and the trees are beginning to sprout buds on their branches. Inspired by this glorious theme, create a floral masterpiece fit to be a beautiful garden for a flower festival float.
Begin your float decorating by framing the trailer with vinyl green grass metallic fringe. Next, attach a generous strip of light green floral sheeting. After that, put purple petal garland over the light green floral sheeting to create a floral edging effect. Cover the floor of the trailer with green floral sheeting to resemble the growing spring grass.
The garden of lights decorations are ideal for making a flower festival float. The garden of lights trellis set is a set of 3 trellises covered with ivy and twinkle lights. Decorate the trellises with additional ivy garland with roses in your choice(s) of dark blue, red/pink, and red silk roses. Arrange the trellises on the float, and then cut cobblestone patterned corrugated paper to create a walkway. Place a garden bench on the float as an accent and for seating. Fill in dead space with pots of flowers, and a few cuckoo trees with pretty red flowers for height variance. Finish off the float with a few scroll metal lanterns to give the float an elegant flair.
